Jurnal Bisnis dan Kewirausahaan (JBK) is committed to maintaining the originality, integrity, and academic quality of all published manuscripts. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin) during the initial editorial evaluation before proceeding to the peer review process. This screening aims to ensure the originality of the manuscript and the proper use of citations.
2. Similarity Threshold
The journal applies the following similarity criteria:
- Maximum overall similarity index: ≤ 20%
- Similarity from a single source should not dominate the manuscript
Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold may be:
- Returned to the authors for revision and correction, or
- Rejected during the initial editorial screening, depending on the severity of the similarity.
3. Forms of Plagiarism
The journal considers the following practices as plagiarism and academic misconduct:
- Direct copying of text without proper citation
- Paraphrasing without appropriate attribution
- Self-plagiarism (reuse of previously published work without acknowledgment)
- Use of data, ideas, or results from other sources without proper reference
4. Editorial Actions
If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal may take the following actions:
- Request revision and resubmission from the authors
- Reject the manuscript
- Retract the published article (if plagiarism is identified after publication)
- Notify the author’s affiliated institution in cases of serious ethical violations
5. Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. All sources must be acknowledged using appropriate academic referencing standards.
